About the experience

Welcome to the latest model new breed of high-performance cruiser-racers.

With a weight of 4,8 tons and an upwind sail area of 80 square meters, the new First 36 simply presents a different sailing experience.

Actually, I believe this is the first time a mainstream-production boat with full-cruising facilities, has been pushed this far towards true high-performance sailing.

But what I am really proud of is making this level of fast, fun sailing available to everyone. Because the First 36 has made speed easy, I believe you will simply sail more.

The main difference from most of the other boats labelled as cruiser-racer is this: In a First 36 you are no longer locked in displacement speed. The main reason for this is its significantly lower weight.

Going easily 9, 10 or 11 knots instead of 5, 6 or 7 knots makes sailing more fun. The maximum continuous speed is 20 knots with full crew. It also makes your cruising radius much bigger. You will definetely enjoy sailing more with this boat.

Naval architect: Samuel Manuard

He is currently the hottest name in offshore racing, where his designs are winning Mini, Class 40, and IMOCA 60 classes, Vendee Globe etc.

Structural engineering: Pure Design & Engineering

The team from New Zealand was in charge of engineering at some of the most extreme projects in the world of extreme sailing: TP52s, AC75, AC72, IMOCA 60s, and Club Swan, as well as high-end production yachts.

Design: Lorenzo Argento

First 36 follows the same design language of her larger sister – First Yacht 53 – building on the timeless aesthetic of Lorenzo’s work, most notably seen on the Wally and Brenta yachts.

Innovation and research: Gigodesign

This industrial design studio’s design research and innovation insights with multiple Red Dot awards were essential in locking in and developing innovation opportunities.

More than just 36 feet

A modern hull design brings about an extensive interior volume. This allows for an interior with the size and comfort of a 40 feet from the previous generations. High quality wooden details, in combination with minimalistic GRP, provide a modern, elegant living space below deck.

Our sailing experience with Victor was simply unforgettable! The boat was brand new, perfectly maintained, with comfortable cabins and a spacious, well-designed living area that made our stay very enjoyable. Victor was not only an excellent skipper but also a true guide: he took us to discover wonderful islands, pristine bays, and crystal-clear waters. Always smiling, kind, and attentive, he did everything to meet our needs and made our trip unique and exciting, giving us memories we will always treasure.What we appreciated the most was his care and kindness towards our two daughters (11 and 6 years old). He was extremely accommodating and made the whole experience even more pleasant and relaxing for the entire family. Greece is a beautiful land, but experiencing it with such a fantastic skipper like Victor truly made the difference. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for an authentic, safe, and sailing adventure!

We spent an excellent week with my wife and two children (2 and 4 years old), supervised by Victor. The boat is very suitable for a family cruise, although it is designed for racing. This is an advantage because the speed gained allows for fast sailing. We sailed the beginning of the Cyclades with Victor in superb conditions. Victor is very attentive to requests and situations. He knows the best spots on the different islands perfectly for a fantastic cruise. He is very discreet and always anticipates contingency plans based on desires and weather conditions. We highly recommend the skipper and the boat, with whom we spent an incredible week. Thank you again, Victor.

It was amazing. Victor helped our family fall in love with sailing. The yacht is in excellent condition and very clean, like new. The yacht is equipped with the latest technology, all modern systems and has a high-speed profile. We managed to walk on a yacht at a speed of up to 10 knots. The facilities on the yacht for parking and overnight stay are very comfortable. The best thing that can happen is to stand at night in a wild bay under the starry sky to the sounds of waves. We loved it with the whole family. Family with two children (10 and 16 years old)
