Cala Coticcio, Caprera Island

It is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful coves in the Maddalena National Park. Cala Coticcio beach is located in the northeastern part of Caprera, the archipelago's second-largest island, facing the Murru rock. Its fine, almost dazzling white sand and the hues of the crystalline sea are framed by pink rocks and Mediterranean scrub. The beach, a true natural pool, also known as "Tahiti," is subject to the highest environmental protection. The body of water in front of the shore can be reached by sea on boats that organize excursions around the archipelago, while the beach itself is accessible by land, accompanied by a guide authorized by the park authority, via a partially unpaved trekking trail of varying gradients that crosses the rocks.

Octopus Head, Giardinelli Island, La Maddalena Island

Testa del Polpo beach is located on the Giardinelli islet, in the Maddalena marine protected area, off the northern coast of Sardinia. This beach takes its name from the shape of a rock on the shore. It features fine white sand and crystal-clear water, almost like a natural pool. It is said that the young Karin Aga Khan used to come to this beach to enjoy the sea in peace.

Cala Corsara, Spargi Island

It's said to have been an ancient pirate hideout, hence its name. And what a refuge! You'll fall in love at first sight: a magical place that will captivate you with its wild nature and the contrasting colors of the green vegetation that pervades the granite rocks and the infinite hues of the sea, from turquoise to emerald, from azure to deep blue. This is Cala Corsara, a small, idyllic bay on the southern coast of the island of Spargi, one of the most dazzling pearls of the Maddalena Archipelago National Park, named the most beautiful beach in Italy in 2016 by a famous holiday website and included in 2018 by Forbes magazine among the seven beaches to visit in Italy. You can only reach it by boat: it's impossible to resist the urge to dive in and swim to shore. You'll immerse yourself in an earthly paradise and enjoy the peace and breathtaking views.

Port of La Madonna, Natural Pools of Budelli

White sand, as fine and soft as talcum powder, crystal-clear turquoise waters, a little corner of paradise accessible only by boat with restrictions to protect the environment and its very existence. This is the spectacular Spiaggia del Cavaliere (Cavalieri in the Maddalena dialect), less famous but equally as stunning as the "forbidden jewel," the adjacent Spiaggia Rosa (Pink Beach)—the setting for Michelangelo Antonioni's "Red Desert"—which contributes to the fame of Budelli, an enchanting island in the Maddalena Archipelago National Park. The beach occupies the northeastern edge of the islet with its distinctive, almost oval shape and overlooks Porto della Madonna, a spectacular body of water nestled between Budelli and the nearby "twin" islands of Razzoli and Santa Maria. Its unique location between the three islands shelters it from strong currents, creating a veritable natural pool, incredibly clear and emerald in color.
