Sailing through the ditches and creeks of the Biesbosch with this unique sloop has something magical; an experience that you should not miss! ​ De Gouwe Ouwe is more than just a boat; he/she is tough, stylish, and has a character that you will not find anywhere else. There is room for a maximum of 4 people (and the skipper) on board the Gouwe Ouwe. THE BOAT TRIP The Gouwe Ouwe is waiting for you, gleaming. Waves are lapping playfully against the hull; we are excited to go out with you. When the lines are cast off, we will head towards De Biesbosch. Are we going to the Aakvlaai, or the Slootje van Sint Jan? No rush, no crowds, just the tranquility of the water, the reeds, the trees and all the nature around you. The departure location is negotiable: - Raamsdonksveer / Geertruidenberg - Haven Vissershang, Hank - Jachthaven Drimmelen THE OPTIONS Every boat trip is different, because you decide what we are going to do. Do you want to sail alone, take a quick dip (there is a swimming ladder on board!) or do we go somewhere to the side to walk a bit? Whether you want to explore De Biesbosch briefly or take your time for an extensive trip - it is all possible. Aboard the Gouwe Ouwe there is room for a maximum of 4 people (and the skipper). Would you like to drink something else, such as soft drinks, beer, wine or bubbles? We will take care of it. Something with the drinks, such as a Biesbosch Borrelplank or a Rietplaatje? That can be arranged. Ask the skipper about the possibilities! THE SKIPPER Hi, I am Mundus. I live in Geertruidenberg. I love nature and water. And lucky me... the Biesbosch is literally my backyard. I have been coming here all my life and know the National Park like the back of my hand. There is no ditch or creek that I have not been to, no sandbank that I have not sailed on at least once ;-). I know a lot about this area and am always curious about new stories. Every time I am in the Biesbosch, whether it is swimming, cycling, sailing, SUPing, canoeing, rowing, walking, running or skating, I enjoy it to the fullest. But sailing the most. Sailing in De Biesbosch is like coming home. That's when I'm in my element. In De Biesbosch, I'm in my element.
