Amsterdam experiences an oceanic climate, which means the city has warm summers and cold, dry winters. Of course, summer is a great time to visit the city because of the long hours of sunshine and temperatures averaging 25 degrees Celsius. However, if you want to escape the crowds, we believe spring and autumn are the perfect times to charter a private yacht in Amsterdam. The temperatures may be around 12 or 15 degrees Celsius, but the blossoming tulips in spring or the warm embrace of autumn are great ways to experience the city.
Should you charter a private yacht with or without a skipper?
We have a lot of yachts on the website that are available bareboat and also that come with a skipper. If you want to discover Amsterdam at your own leisure, then feel free to book a yacht without a skipper. However, we believe that skippers can improve your overall holiday experience by allowing you to fully relax and enjoy the ride while someone else handles the sailing, docking, and anchoring. What’s more, is that these professional skippers are familiar with the canals of the city, so they can confidently and safely guide you through Amsterdam without a problem.
