From the sporting regatta to calm and peaceful walks Indigo adapts to the choice of its passengers..... Passionate about sailing since my youngest age, I like to share my passion and love to teach sailing to interested people, I make myself a pleasure to receive my passengers and teach them how to sail, or to progress. The First 31.7 is my second boat, it is the perfect compromise between size, speed, comfort, it allows me to go alone or with my family and friends. I look forward to welcoming you on board for pleasant moments of navigation.

    Our group consisted of 5 people and we were well received by Alain and he gave us the feeling that the boat was ours for the day and that we could fill the day as we wanted. After an extensive but instructive explanation of the basic concepts of sailing, the rules of precedence and the operation of the sheets, halyards etc. we went out on the water. The weather forecast predicted 4 to 5 Beaufort with gusts of up to 7 bft. But the wind increased from 28 knots to 30 knots (7 bft) with gusts of up to 33 knots. It was tough at the helm, but with the good advice, correct trim of the sails and light adjustments from Alain it was certainly doable. It was a great sailing experience. Alain sailed the boat back expertly when the wind was still increasing to 33 knots. Someone with no sailing experience steered the boat under the guidance of Alain with 7 bft, chapeau. We enjoyed it. The Beneteau first 31.7 is a fast and fun boat to sail. Alain lets the crew steer the boat where possible, but it is reassuring to have such an experienced skipper on board.

For our group , after a presentation of his boat, he gave us a review ( much needed for all) of the art of sailing, he took us then to the sea on a beautifull sunny day in Nieupoort. We then practiced a variety of drills and all had the opportunity to be at the helm. What a trip! We have no hesitation to recommend him to anyone interested to try, learn or simply enjoy sailing!

    Alain is a great toughtful skipper. We (2 friends and myself) are learning to sail and took this opportunity for our first real practical lesson and just to have some fun. That's exactely what it turned out to be. Great mix of fun and education. We were a little concerned about a language barrier at first as our mother tongue is Dutch but we got along well in English together. Because of the high winds that day we had an early return back to the harbour, which was definately understandable and a lesson in itself. After docking we had a good mix of snacking, coffee and theory/chatting. Happy to recommend Alain and thanks again for a great day!
