Marina - Tour Del Golfo - Non Autorizzata 5 Terre
The rental package includes free parking, showers, and a gazebo (if available) until 7:00 PM. The only cost is fuel, which we'll cover for a €5 surcharge on top of the Marino petrol pump price. Recommended tours: Gulf of Poets Tour (fuel cost approximately €40-90) Departure at 9:00 AM from the mouth of the Magra River, where you can immediately admire the splendid landscape of the Montemarcello Natural Park with its beautiful coves. After the bridge, keep to the right of the river until the mouth. Outside the mouth, turning right, you'll reach the ancient fishing village of Tellaro, listed among the Most Beautiful Villages in Italy! After a succession of enchanting coves such as Fiascherino, Maralunga, and Eco del Mare, we'll arrive in the picturesque bay of Lerici with its castle and beaches. The first recommended stop will be in one of these bays for a refreshing swim. Our tour will continue to the pearl of the Gulf: charming PORTOVENERE! Located opposite Lerici, in a cove separating the mainland from Palmaria Island, this ancient fishing village will leave you breathless. Admiring the "Palazzata a Mare" from the sea—a collection of tightly packed buildings that jut out toward the horizon—is undoubtedly a truly evocative sight. The varying widths of the façades, as well as their varying heights and alternating pastel colors, create a spectacle unlike any other region in northern Italy. The Doria Castle, the ancient church of San Pietro, and Byron's Cave, nestled in a charming cove, will conclude this first part of your tour. Anchored at Portovenere's harbor, you can enjoy a peaceful meal in the calm sea. After lunch, we'll set off to discover the three islands, passing through the narrow passage of Portovenere and keeping to the left to begin our tour of the islands: Palmaria Island, the largest of the Ligurian islands, characterized by high cliffs and numerous caves, and the remains of the marble quarries where the precious Portoro marble was once extracted. Behind Palmaria Island lie two other smaller islands, called Tino Island and Tinetto Island. "PASSING BETWEEN TINO ISLAND AND TINETTO IS FORBIDDEN DUE TO OUTCROPING ROCKS." Tino Island is effectively a nature reserve, as a military zone was established on its territory, preventing it from being used for construction, nor is access permitted to people or boats from docking. Tinetto Island is the smallest of the three and the furthest from the mainland; On its rock, the ruins of a sixth-century oratory and those of a larger, two-nave church are still visible. Construction continued until the eleventh century. The latter, however, was destroyed in one of the Saracen raids. After completing the tour of the islands, head towards Portovenere. Behind Palmaria Island, you'll find a bay with consistently calm seas where you can take a refreshing dip. Cross the gulf and return to the Magra River, where, keeping to the left until the bridge, we'll reach the docking area. Return to port is scheduled for 7:00 PM.
