From Passion to Purpose — Welcome to Surfari del Mar I’m Fressia Méndez, proud Costa Rican, Captain. My journey to the sea wasn’t a straight line. I studied computer science, worked as a teacher, and later started my own graphic design business. But everything changed when I met my neighbor, Captain Jack, the original "pirate" of Surfari del Mar. His passion was contagious, and his sailing adventures to Witch's Rock and Ollie Point, and my time as a Surf Tour photographer, sparked something in me. Balancing motherhood, design, and my growing love of the ocean, I earned my sailing certification and joined the Surfari crew. Years later, I had the honor of continuing Captain Jack's legacy by taking the helm. Surfari del Mar is more than a sailing tour: it's a story of transformation, community, and connection with nature. Come sail with us and write your own chapter.
