Description of Valdo's sailboat
Cookson Boats - Volvo 60 | 1 Cabin
This VOR60 was designed and built to compete in the 2001-2002 Volvo Ocean Race, the crewed round-the-world race. This racing yacht is a high-performance, extreme boat, a Formula 1 of the seas with very spartan comfort. This demanding and powerful boat is used for offshore racing starts, rated in IRC 0 (Rolex Fastnet Race, Armen Race, Tour de Belle-Île, Rolex Middle Sea Race, Voiles de Saint-Tropez, RORC Transatlantic Race, Caribbean 600, etc.). Extremely seaworthy and fast, this large 65-foot monohull is built for the open sea. Skippered by three professional sailors (4 in racing), it accommodates 10 crew members in ocean racing. For sleeping and dining on board, it's the bare minimum! 14 bunks, a gas stove, and a toilet. The navigation station is located aft, under the cockpit. On deck, there's a double helm station and double winch columns for the grinders! Hydraulics and ballast tanks complete the power on board. Up front, you'll be spoiled for choice: staysail, J1, J2, genoa, main genoa, asymmetrical spinnaker, symmetrical spinnaker. The mainsail is full-batten. Clearances, local taxes, and any port fees are extra. Mandatory options (excluding racing sailing programs): Skipper + first mate + watch leader: €880 for the first day, then €800 per additional day. Quotes on request for a racing sailing program with four professional sailors on board. For any additional inquiries, you can send me a message via the website Click&Boat.
