    I would like to distinguish between, on the one hand, the boat, which is truly excellent and in every way consistent with the listing description, and, on the other hand, the charter company. The exchanges with the latter were neither smooth nor pleasant. When I paid the €1,500 security deposit, the EFT didn't work in "pre-authorization" mode (even though I do this very regularly with my credit card without any problems). The charter company therefore offered to make a real payment of the €1,500 and that he would cancel the credit card upon the boat's return in the evening. This way, the funds would supposedly not have time to leave my account. The next day, I saw a debit of €1,500! Worried, I contacted him, and the exchange was ludicrous: Not only did he not apologize for the problem, he didn't understand my concern, and he turned the situation around by saying it was my fault. He tells me the funds should be back in my account within 6 days and doesn't understand how this could be inconvenient! Six days later, the funds are indeed back, but here's another surprise: not all of them! €22.50 is missing... When I question him, he tells me to get lost, claiming he's not responsible! I quickly gloss over the fact that the paperwork is signed in a parking lot out of sight because he doesn't have permission to rent his boat in the port of Carnon. As well as the fact that he rents the boat with a half-full tank of fuel and asks to return the boat with the gauge (with approximate accuracy) at the same level. (which I did, with a photo to prove it.) But then, in the evening, he goes into the onboard computer and quibbles over the supposedly missing 2 liters... Anyway! Renting a boat on vacation should, in my opinion, be synonymous with pleasure and cordial relations between enthusiasts. This is far from the case here; my advice: take another boat.
