About the experience
My name is Diego, a sea lover, an offshore sailing instructor, FIV, AICS, LIBERTAS, instructor trainer, ISAF Safety Emergency and Survival at Sea certificate, BLS-D, GMDSS Short Range Certificate Radio, two unlimited Italian and French sailing licenses, bilingual in Italian and French, I am proud to be the owner and skipper of this rare boat named Dogma.
Dogma is a Sintesi 36 from the Rinaldi shipyard, an all-Italian boat with modern lines and innovative solutions. The optimization by Alberto Cera, with new appendages and RIG designed in 2015 (the year of its launch), allows sailing even in light winds and the engine to be used primarily for docking maneuvers. The excellent balance achieved also guarantees safety and comfort even in the most extreme sea conditions.
It features a spacious cockpit with a fold-down table for quiet, convivial dinners at anchor, three double cabins, one bathroom, a two-burner kitchen, a 60-liter refrigerator, internal and external hot water, two water tanks for a total of 150 liters, a tender with a 2.3 hp Honda engine, and two solar panels.
Dogma is based in Ostia, from where the Pontine Islands to the SE or Argentario to the NW are 60 miles away, and Sardinia and Corsica are 125 miles away.
I don't recommend going to the Pontine Islands for just a weekend, departing Saturday morning and returning Sunday evening. It takes 9 or 10 hours there and another 9 or 10 hours back. I recommend adding at least one day.
The proximity to Fiumicino Airport makes it easy to arrive from distant locations, and with advance notice, I can arrange a shuttle service from the airport to the boat.
