Description

Embark on our luxury 2024 Hanse 51ft Sailing Yacht, Divinity 1, sailing the Ionian Sea among the beautiful Greek islands with crystal clear waters. We are a family-owned business offering 7-day charters with a full time live-aboard Skipper. Divinity Sailing operates out of Greece, Corfu (based in Marina Di Gouvia). You can book online and check availability and secure your charter slot. The skipper of Divinity (Benjamin Oliver) is the son of a world-class professional windsurfer (Malcolm Oliver) who has been surrounded by water since birth! As a family, we all grew up on Hayling Island in the UK, where Windsurfing was invented! Skipper Benjamin has spent many years sailing and decided to obtain his Yacht Master Offshore certification (Commercially Endorsed by the RYA/MCA) with the world-renowned United Kingdom Sailing Academy (UKSA), which is based on the Isle of Wight. Benjamin spent 5 – 6 months at the sailing academy (UKSA) before venturing into long-distance sailing across the Atlantic on an 82-foot Super Maxi IOR Beneteau aluminium-hull racing-spec yacht (1988) from Spain, Santa Pola, to the Caribbean, Martinique, via the Grand Canaries, and Cape Verde. After nearly two years in search of the perfect sailing yacht for the European charter business, the 2024 Hanse 510 (51ft) was located in Croatia. After some upgrades Benjamin (with two crew) sailed from Croatia, Split to Malta via Italy to reflag Divinity with the Maltese flag with the status of commercial operation.

About me

I’m a highly self-motivated individual that excels well under pressure. I focus great importance on the recognition by all crew members to be a team player. I have many years’ experience working across a multitude of business disciplines as an employer responsible for over 100 employees. I have gained valuable experience with the ability to adapt to changing environments at a moment’s notice. My maritime experience and career have spanned over 12 years beginning with Dinghy Sailing (Lasers), Power Boats, RIB’s and Sailing Yachts. My recreational sport of choice is Skydiving and achieved my Skydiving qualification in November 2020 as a fully licensed Skydiver. This sport is well known for its highly pressured environment where oneself is trained to react to changing situations at a moment’s notice, to ensure the safety of others and yourself, with little time to spare. We now have a sailing yacht business operating in Greece, Corfu offering 7 day charters with a dedicated Skipper. The charter business is Divinity Sailing.

Frequently asked questions
What happens in the case of bad weather?
If the weather does not allow you to go out to sea, we recommend postponing your booking to a later date by coordinating with the boat owner on our Click&Boat messenger. For daily charters, you can subscribe to our Weather Guarantee insurance to be fully refunded in case of bad weather (special weather report, storm, etc...).
Is fuel included in the charter price?
Fuel is not included in the rental price. If you would like a fuel cost estimate for this boat, please contact the owner.
Do I need a license to rent this boat?
You must have a boat license to drive this boat. The paper document may be requested by the boat owner on the day of booking. Do not hesitate to confirm with them the type of license required for this specific rental (coastal, river, etc.). Please note that it is possible to book the boat with a skipper; in which case you will not need a boat license.
In the case of problems with the boat at sea, am I insured?
All boats made available on Click&Boat are covered by at least a mandatory third-party liability insurance (RC), as required by applicable regulations. This insurance generally covers damages caused to third parties, but does not cover damages caused to the rented boat itself. In the event of damage to the boat during the rental period, the owner is entitled to retain part or all of the deposit left by the renter in order to cover the repair costs. The renter may, where eligible, take out a damage waiver insurance in order to protect their deposit. As a general rule, damages are to be settled directly between the renter and the boat owner. In case no agreement can be reached, the matter may need to be referred to the competent legal authority. Additional insurances (such as deposit waiver, assistance, etc.) may be purchased directly on Click&Boat at the time of booking, subject to the applicable terms and conditions.
Do I have the required experience to rent this boat?
Before accepting a booking request, the owner may carry out a check of the renter's nautical resume to ensure that he or she is experienced enough to hire the boat. The owner can also adapt their check-in to the port (training, help to leave the port) according to the nautical skills of the renter. Do not hesitate to discuss this with the owner via the message board.
