I would strongly recommend NOT chartering this boat. While the crew tried to make our week comfortable, we experienced several significant issues that were not consistent with what we expected from a luxury yacht charter. 1. Fuel charges: despite a clear written agreement, they have refused to refund the amount we paid for fuel that at the end of the trip had not been consumed (approx. 3.000 €). 2. Generator pollution: The generator was discharging exhaust residue/oil directly into the sea. When we were anchored or docked, this visibly polluted the water immediately around the yacht and made swimming next to the boat unpleasant and concerning. 3. Condition of the yacht: Several important areas of the boat are in need of substantial renovation (this is in fact a very old boat!). The bathrooms had an unpleasant smell, showers and doors showed significant rust, and several windows in the bedrooms and bathrooms could not be opened. 4. Service, privacy, and use of the yacht: The overall experience was not at the level one would expect from a luxury yacht. The welcome itself was poor—the yacht did not appear fully ready for our arrival, and we were not even offered water. More importantly, the five crew members occupied the upper deck and front deck for much of the charter, including sleeping on the decks rather than in crew cabins. This significantly reduced our privacy and prevented us from fully enjoying some of the yacht’s main outdoor spaces. 5. Excessive provisioning: Food and provisions were significantly over-ordered, even though we had clearly communicated we wanted to have certain lunch & dinners outside the yacht. We estimate that at least €500 of unnecessary provisions were purchased. 6. Air conditioning: The air conditioning in the yacht’s main indoor area was not working, something we were not informed about in advance and only discovered upon arrival. Initially, there appeared to be little urgency to resolve the issue. It was only after we made clear that we would not pay the full charter price unless the problem was addressed that a serious effort was made to fix it. A mechanic was brought on board, and the necessary repairs involved carpentry work continuing until approximately 1:30 a.m. on our first night, causing significant disruption at the very start of our charter. Overall, although the crew made an effort and were generally well-intentioned, the combination of charges on fuel not consumed, poor maintenance, pollution issues, lack of privacy and usable guest space, and undisclosed technical problems made the experience fall well below what we expected given the positioning and cost of the yacht.
