Half-Day Costa Brava Boat Escape from Palamós

Communication about the booking was sufficient but minimal. More like booking a taxi than an expensive family outing. They upgraded us to a larger boat for free which was great. Our skipper was friendly until after 2 hours he announced he had to return to port and swap drivers so he could take another job. No explanation or apology given. He insisted we had to retrace our route all the way back and then out again with another driver who was just a young kid. Neither driver was knowledgeable about spots to explore such as famous sea caves and seemed to want to just bomb up and down the coast . However, they were competent handling the boat and checking on our welfare.

This experience was terrible and I’ve had great experiences using this app. It was unsafe, unprofessional, and not worth the money. We asked to head back early and decided to enjoy the rest of the day off of the boat. To start, we have twin 3 year old boys and they didn’t think about life jackets for them until we reminded them. The first round of life jackets one worked but one was completely broken and unusable. I asked for another working life jacket and was given one with string ties which was way too big for my 3 year old. I used it because I wasn’t confident they had any others. We then had to remind them of the added items we purchase like a tube to go tubing. Then as we left for our trip our guide said we needed to remind him to return in a few hours because he would take a break and his colleague would drive at that point. He had no phone and no way of communicating to anyone should there have been an issue. We asked him to take us around and show us the coast and maybe a nice beach we could go relax on with our family. He drove 30 minutes to the first beach he saw and anchored 500 meters from the beach. And said ok go ahead! I was confused because we had 3 kids with us two of which were our twin toddlers, my mother who is nearly 70, now life jackets another than the terrible ones my toddlers had on and jelly fish all around the boat. I asked so you want us to swim all the way there now? He said yes. For a minute we tried to figure out if my husband and I jumped in while floating one or two children on a tube and swimming to shore and back. But it made no sense and seemed incredible dangerous given lack of floating devices for us our other child and all the very visible jelly fish around. We asked if there are any other beaches we could explore that would be easier and he said no this is the best one. We were staying in Llafranc and knew that was incorrect and that the beaches near us have water taxis to get you from your anchored boat the shore. At that point we decided this person was either not knowledgeable or didn’t care - either of which made us uncomfortable. We knew some of the best beaches already and decided let’s cut our losses and leave 6 hours early into our 8 hour boating adventure and just head to the places we know and have a relaxing beach day. It was unfortunate but I would not recommend this company if you want to have a memorable, safe, and fun time exploring costa brava by boat.

The ship had no fenders, the anchor was loose, and there were minor details to be maintained. Furthermore, there were no good explanations given for the adverse weather conditions in various areas. The rest was fine.

The service was excellent. Every question we had was answered, and they helped us get in and out of the port. The boat is also larger than it looks. We were a group of seven and we were very comfortable.

We had a perfect day. We went with a person with reduced mobility, and they were very attentive and took great care of us.

Iván is a charming man, and we liked him from the very first moment. He was extremely attentive and caring, explaining everything wonderfully, and we had no problems at all. Thank you, Iván, for being an accomplice to such a perfect day!

Ivan is a competent and very pleasant professional. We rented a boat from him for the day at a very competitive price. I highly recommend him.

We rented the boat for a full day. The welcome, support and explanations were clear and transparent. The boat was as shown in the photos. Everything worked properly. Thanks to Ivan for his welcome and advice. I recommend!

For the price it is an option to consider, although even with them for a little more they have better options... They should improve prior communication and in my case the boat was not clean and had a lot of dog hair (Iván got angry and ordered the boat to be cleaned, however it was not sufficient and they still handed it over to me dirty).

I recently rented from Ivan and had an excellent experience. The boats were in top condition, the staff was friendly and professional, and the entire process was smooth. Highly recommended for a great time on the water!

Ivan was very friendly and the boat was in perfect condition.

We reserved the 60 hp boat and when we returned to port he told us that we had taken the 30 hp boat. The electrical panel did not work well and at no time could we see the speed or fuel capacity we had. Otherwise a correct service and treatment.

Great experience with Ivan! I the perfect boat for a family outing! We will repeat?

Good organization and good advice before departure. Very good and beautiful boat in perfect condition, consumes very little gas. Amazing day !
