I believe that going to sea on a sailing boat is the maximum expression of freedom. The fact that there are no roads, crossroads, queues or traffic lights in front of you. The fact of letting go of the moorings, leaving a port, and having the almost infinite possibility of routes or destinations to choose from, I think is a rather rare condition of privilege and freedom. In the various experiences on the boat, the night was spent in a roadstead, as if moored in one of the ports in the Adriatic or on one of the many Croatian islands. With our Bavaria 36 we immediately participated in various offshore regattas such as EST105, TRANI-DUBROVNIK, VIESTE-LASTOVO, PIZZOMUNNO CUP, LA TRABUCCHI, LE DIOMEDEE, in addition to the winter club championship. I believe that considering sailing a demanding, difficult sport and only for physically prepared and trained people is not true, especially in the case of pleasure sailing boats of this type. Returning to pleasure sailing, I remember that boat under 10 meters driven by an English couple who, with two children, had entered the port of Leuca after a few months of navigation and did not seem very worn out by the trip. As soon as the parents let go of the anchor, the children were already splashing around like fish in the water and in those moments I imagined how growing up in a certain environment forms you in such a different way based on some life choices. I imagined the same family on an ordinary Saturday in a shopping mall with parents who keep repeating: don't run, don't do it, come here, don't go there, you get hurt, you catch cold and so on. BUT NOT EVERYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN LIFE. On a boat it is important to have a close-knit crew, spaces are limited and people often don't know each other, but the sea unites, the sea is an excellent school of life, it makes you understand your limits, it lets you play with it like a father with a son, he warns you that you are going beyond your limits, but at the same time always gives you a chance to recover from your mistake, provided you always manage to learn from your mistakes. Talking about the sea would be a nice thing, but I believe that the sea should be experienced in person, because what you can't see and perhaps frightens us can't always become a companion in life and freedom in the end.
