If you want to have a wide range of unique experiences during the day and still party all night, a sailboat hire in Ibiza is for you. You can grab a bite to eat in one of the restaurants or cafés before dancing the night away in one of the clubs or bars.
If you would prefer peace and relaxation to partying, you should take your sailboat hire in Ibiza to Formentera. This idyllic island has an impressive selection of white sand beaches, bordered by a brilliant turquoise sea.
Ibiza is known principally for its party scene. Here, you should start your sailboat hire at Marina San Antonio, the only marina in the west of the island. You can find other marinas in Ibiza City and Santa Eularia. In San Antonio, you can sip on a Sundowner cocktail in the legenday Café del Mar, before cruising along the coast to Ibiza City, visiting various calas and bays along the way. Some of the best bays to visit include Cala Bassa, Cala Compte, and Cala Horts overlooking the island of Es Vedra. All of these beaches are perfect for swimming and have either a beach bar or restaurant where you can eat your fill afterwards.
In Ibiza city, you can experience the island’s infamous night life. However, there is actually so much more to see in terms of culture and history. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of Ibiza, you should set sail for Formentera, whose northernmost point is just 10 nautical miles away from the southernmost point of Ibiza. Formentera is truly unique, with shallow sandy beaches and turquoise waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. You can drop your anchor initially at the horseshoe-shaped bay of Puerto del Espalmador.
From here, you should continue your journey to Ses Illetes, which is home to perhaps the most beautiful beach in the north of the island. There are also several fantastic restaurants. To the south, you will find Cala Sahona and in the east, Ensenada de Tramonta. Here, you can anchor at the charming fishing village of Es Caló.
It should be noted that while Ibiza and the other Balearic Islands are a part of Spain, they are also autonomous regions, with a separate government that has designated some stretches of coastline as protected areas. This means that activities such as diving and fishing are only allowed there if you have a permit.

The swell around the Balearics is typically higher than in other areas of the Mediterranean. Even when there is no wind, there can be occasional swells and the Tramontana wind can cause high, steep swells when it blows.

The Mistral and Tramontana will become more prevalent again from September until October, whereas there is almost no wind in the winter months.
