Kolymvari Marina

Chironisia Bay

Depart from Kolymbari Marina for a full-day private journey along one of Crete’s wildest stretches of coastline. Cruise alongside the rugged Rodopou Peninsula, where dramatic cliffs, secluded coves and intensely blue waters create a completely different side of western Crete. Begin your adventure at Chironisia, a remote coastal location surrounded by the dramatic landscape of the Rodopou Peninsula. Drop anchor in its clear waters for your first swimming and snorkeling stop of the day. With very little development around you, this is an opportunity to experience the quieter, more untouched character of Crete before continuing farther west.

Limnionari Beach

Continue along the peninsula to Limnionari, another secluded coastal hideaway accessible far more easily from the sea. Enjoy another refreshing swim, explore the clear waters with snorkeling equipment, or simply relax onboard with drinks and Cretan snacks while surrounded by the raw landscape of western Crete.

Menies Beach

Continue along the rugged Rodopou Peninsula to Menies Beach, one of western Crete’s most remote and unspoiled beaches. Surrounded by steep mountains and a wild, untouched landscape, Menies offers beautifully clear and sheltered waters. Drop anchor for swimming and snorkeling, or simply relax onboard and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before continuing toward the spectacular waters of Balos and Gramvousa.

Gramvousa Island

Continue to Gramvousa Island, where spectacular natural scenery meets centuries of Cretan history. Drop anchor in the crystal-clear waters beneath the island’s imposing Venetian fortress and enjoy time for swimming and snorkeling. Guests can admire the famous shipwreck from the water and, depending on timing and conditions, have the opportunity to go ashore and explore the island.

Balos Lagoon

The final and main destination of the journey is the spectacular Balos Lagoon, one of Crete’s most iconic natural landmarks. Arriving from the sea reveals Balos at its best, with shallow turquoise waters, white and pink-tinted sands and the dramatic mountains of the Gramvousa Peninsula surrounding the lagoon. Enjoy an extended stop to swim, relax and take in the extraordinary scenery before returning to the boat for the journey back to Kolymbari.
